Lab Manager - Wine Industry

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Lab Manager to join a dynamic team within a wine laboratory. Leading a group of 3 people, you will be responsible for the day to day operations running the laboratory.

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Co-ordinating the analysis on wine & juice samples by chemical and microbiological methods
• Ensure all laboratory data is documented and filed appropriately
• Perform/coordinate the service and calibration of all instruments and equipment
• Manage financial and physical resources to maintain/optimise overall laboratory productivity
• Report monthly expenditure
• Ensure all laboratory operations comply with NATA, HACCP and company HSE policy requirements
• Revise, update and maintain laboratory Standard Operating Procedures
• Induct new employees and provide training, as required

To ensure your success in this role, you will have:

• Related Tertiary Scentific Qualification
• Experience working as a Laboratory Manager
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be pro-active, have excellent attention to detail and posses strong leadership abilities
• Have a passion for the wine industry!
