The Barwon Health Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Services (BMHDAS) provide intensive as sessment, treatment and community support to the Barwon region for people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug and alcohol problems, and their families.

Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that value client centeredness, holistic care, accessibility, family inclusiveness, best practice, ongoing service innovation and professional development. We are fortunate to enjoy excellent internal relationships within our wide range of clinical programs. We have developed excellent partnerships with the local community that provide for seamless integrated care for our clients.

Our staff are able to effectively assess and respond to their clients€™ needs, and ensure their clients are linked in with services that meet their needs. They value building on their clients€™ strengths and empower them in their decision-making. They understand the value of advocacy on behalf of our client group, many of whom are marginalised, and they have demonstrated the ability to work creatively with a service system that is often challenged by limited resources. They are passionate about participation in ongoing service development, and understand the value of best practice models of care. All our staff are supported by discipline and role specific supervision and professional development opportunities.

*Adult Community Mental Health Teams
*Clozapine Program
*GP Mental Health Nurse Program
*Aged Psychiatry Services
*Youth Program
